Where are Sockten socks manufactured?
In our own knitting workshop in Istanbul. Knitting, linking, boarding, pairing and packing all happen under one roof, and buyers are welcome to visit the floor before and after they place an order.
Do you manufacture under our own brand?
Yes. We work private label and boutique only. Every order is produced to your specification and carries your brand, not ours.
Can our logo be knitted into the sock?
Yes. The needles form the logo as the sock is knitted, so there is nothing printed on the surface to fade, crack or peel. Woven labels and packaging are produced to your artwork as well.
Which sock types can you produce?
Fifteen constructions are listed in the catalogue: no-show, ankle, quarter, crew, knee-high, over-the-knee, sport, compression, terry, dress, thermal, non-slip, toe socks, baby and kids, and tights. That list reflects what buyers have asked for so far, not the limit of the machines.
Which yarns can you knit with?
Sixteen fibres across four groups. Natural: cotton, wool, cashmere, silk, bamboo. Regenerated: mercerised cotton, modal, viscose, lyocell, Tencel. Technical: polyamide, polyester, acrylic, elastane. Functional: copper yarn, silver yarn. Blend ratios are set by your specification.
What certifications do you hold?
The facility operates to ISO 9001 for quality, ISO 10002 for complaints handling, ISO 14001 for environmental management and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety. The yarns we buy carry Oeko-Tex, GOTS and GRS certification from their suppliers.
Can we visit the factory before ordering?
Yes. Buyers are welcome to walk the floor in Istanbul before they commit and at any point during production.
How does the ordering process work?
You send a technical file, or a sketch and a reference pair. We knit a physical sample against it. You measure the sample and approve it or return it for revision. The approved sample becomes the production standard and every batch is measured back to it. Goods are packed to your artwork and shipped by us or collected by your own forwarder.
